I have carried out a lot of wedding photography in Durham. It is a beautiful city surrounded by fantastic scenery and it is no surprise so many of the weddings that I have attended have taken place here.
Durham’s name originates from both the Celtic phrase ‘dun’ meaning a hilled fort, and the Norse phrase ‘holme’ meaning an island. So it is no wonder that you find a stunning castle at the top of hill of its centre, which is accompanied by the famous and rather magnificent Durham Cathedral.
The region is full of both classical and modern features like these which contribute to the overall landscape, making the city a fantastic opportunity hold your special occasion with a creative wedding photographer that is able to bring out the unique moments from each event.
Some photos taking by me in the region can be viewed in the gallery below.
