It seemed like all of Alnmouth came out onto the streets to watch Claire and Sam’s wedding. It was a privilege to be part of the celebrations in one of the most stunning part of the north east.
Gavin joined the bridal party from early in the day. It was great to see the bride and bridesmaids so relaxed and excited at the same time. Having Gavin at the wedding preparations allowed for some fab naturalistic shots! These really let the personality of the bride shine through.
Claire looked truly stunning in a classic gown. With ropes of pearls providing exquisite detailing to the back of the gown. The bridesmaids wore blue, a colour theme which was continued through the day.
Sam, who serves at RAF Boulmer, was looking dashing in his Air Force uniform. Guests came from far and wide to celebrate at this RAF wedding. From Ireland to deepest ‘down south’ guests joined this celebration of love and laughter.
An amazing centrepiece was the wedding cake. A caricature of a red RAF plane carrying bride and groom! The details included were wonderful.
A stylish classic car, leant by a family member for the big day, pulled Claire up outside the church. Locals spilled onto the streets to watch the beautiful bride. The church was decorated in delicate white blossoms, which complemented the delicate pinks and whites of the bridal bouquet.
The wedding reception was held at Alnmouth Golf Club. Once a seat of the Percy family and well known locally for its excellent food. The venue included beautiful views of Alnmouth’s stunning, long sandy beach. Views which proved hard to resist as the day continued.
You can’t beat a wedding where everyone ends up on the beach! Bride, groom and guests got the chance to enjoy the sands. The rubber ankle boots the bride changed into for the occasion added a both practical and light-hearted touch. Some gorgeous, romantic beach shots of the happy couple were the result.
Back at the reception, everyone was wowed by Claire’s amazing dancing skills. And as an amazing sunset crowned the happy day, the revelry continued into the night. Ceilidh dancing for all the guests proved a huge hit as the blissful day drew to a close.
