How’s this for a stunning country house wedding location? Gavin had an amazing time taking some images at Chapelgarth Estate the other week, here are some beautiful photos to show off!
Chapelgarth Estate is a gorgeous Edwardian country house nestled in its own secluded gardens beneath the backdrop of the Cleveland Hills. Built in 1909, this elegant, romantic hideaway provides so many options for couples to create their own perfect wedding.
Gavin had great fun working with Lucy Wright Events, Dandy Threads, Totem Tipis, Sunday Best Vintage and The StylingFarm to create these stylish images. It is one of those locations where a turn of every corner shows a new scene just begging to be captured – whether it’s the elegant proportions of the building itself, with ivy creeping over the mellowed old brick, or the lush green lawn with its scenic backdrop, the private fairytale of the walled garden, or the light and airy interior of the house with its graceful furnishings. The house really is a north east wedding photographer’s dream.
For brides who want to get married from their own country home, the whole house can be taken over from the night before the wedding – whether that wedding is inside or outside, in the Artists’ Studio with its gallery opening onto the courtyard, or in a marquee, giant tipi or individual yurts in the extensive grounds – this really is a location where you could let your imagination run riot for your picture perfect wedding.
The shots here wouldn’t have been possible without styling from The Styling Farm, bringing together beautiful with creativity, love and vision. The wedding breakfast table is laid beautifully by Sunday Best Vintage, who provide old fashioned, elegant appeal with their china and accessory hire, with each item chosen for its unique quality and style. The model, Ed, is looking nifty in some fine outfitting from Dandy Threads, who provide a range of smart/casual clothing for the modern dapper gent. All these elements formed together to harmonise perfectly with the location, creating a stunning vision of refinement and romance.
From the moment Gavin approached the estate down its long avenue of poplar and lime trees, he knew the shoot was going to be something special, and you’ll agree these images don’t disappoint. Here’s looking forward to the next shoot in this amazing wedding venue!
