Vallum Farm Wedding – Cake, a ceilidh, connect 4 … and the odd chicken
A joyous wedding day provided a riot of fun and some stunning shots for everyone at this wedding! Jenny and Kevin’s gorgeous wedding was full of special moments, with Gavin on hand to help this blissful couple capture perfect memories of their day.
Vallum Farm provided a unique setting for the wedding, offering a slice of countryside charm and originality at this venue only a few miles from Newcastle. With wheat fields, barns and hay bales to explore (not to mention a rogue chicken, much to the delight of the children!), Jenny and Kevin made their mark with this exuberant wedding, the first to be held in the venue’s new undercover marquee.
Jenny looked both natural and breath-taking in a gown from Cherished in Guidepost, Northumberland, and with a beautiful bouquet made by her mum! Preparation for the wedding was a family affair, with Kevin’s mum making the truly stunning wedding cake. The attention to little details made with love added extra joy to the ambience of the day. Jenny’s look was finished with hair and makeup expertly done by Transcend in Hexham.
Much fun was had by the guests with the outdoor games provided, with quoits, giant Jenga and Connect 4 being enjoyed by little kids and bigger kids alike! A liberal scattering of Northumberland tartan among the guests’ outfits provided another special and original touch to the day.
A brief step away from the revelry, a full sky lowered over the romantic golden wheat fields, providing exquisite light for some amazing couple shots of the bride and groom. Gavin embraced the chance to shoot here as well as in the barns where the moody, amazing light allowed for some fresh and original shots.
The exuberance continued into the evening, with ceilidh band Fiddler’s Elbow leading a lively and enthusiastic ceilidh, a perfect end to this unique and captivating wedding.
