Over the next few months, I’m planning on being as helpful as I can to all you brides to be. There will be some blogs from supplier friends of mine but also information I come across on the internet that jumps out as being super helpful.
Realistically, there are no rights and wrongs for your special day; it’s what you as a couple (and as individuals) want to bring to the day and how you do that. That said, the nature of the wedding industry means that often certain things can be more difficult to organise if you leave it till later in the planning stage. For example, it is possible to buy a wedding dress 3 weeks before your special day but the choice and scope for adjustments will be limited.
To help see how ‘the wedding industry’ looks at timings, the fantastic Weddingwire have pulled together some suggestions for you. These are only a guide but worth taking note of.
Weddingwire is an awesome website and has sparked me back in to the mood for some wedding travels! Being a US based company, it was great to have a look over their website and see some of the stunning weddings all over the country. With every country doing things a little different, it’s great to see some of the trends and ideas that soon could be drifting across the pond to us here in the UK.
Would you like to see me shooting at some of these amazing venues maybe over in NYC? You saw the blog about Chaz & Domonique‘s Durham city centre engagement shoot, right? Originating from New York, I wonder if they are getting married at one of these NYC Wedding Venues? How about some shots of me stood next to the Cloud gate (Bean) feeling those Anish Kapoor vibes after a wedding at one of these Chicago Wedding venues? Or maybe even shooting a couple on the Hollywood walk of fame or up by the big white sign, a must after some of these Los Angeles Wedding Venues.
For all of you US brides, fancy coming over to the UK for your honeymoon? There are so many stunning places to visit to capture some amazing post-wedding images.
Let me know what you think of this sort of extra information – is it helpful?
Have a great week,
Gavin
